Its been a while

Yes, it's been a while since I've last posted. Some weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I proud to announce that I finished and graduated from the Legal Secretary program at UNLV, and I have my certificate to prove it :) ( I need to have it framed). I'm so excited and releaved at the same time.

Hopefully in the coming weeks I'll post more. But for now here are some pictures over the past couple of months, including a picture of my "stash" Its a couple months old ( September 2007 ) and since then has grown and grown.

Happy New Year

It's been quiet around here for the New Year's Eve and day. I was not going out with all of the other nuts and drunks and certainly was not going to go down to the strip. So I stayed home had a Bloody Mary and went to sleep about 9pm and woke up when the fireworks went off about 12 am. My dogs had more fun on New Years then I did :). They were chasing each other on and off my bed and then they decided they had enough. CC and Pickle both decided to use Bagel as a pillow and lay their chin on him.

I went to my favorite sushi resturant, Sushi in Summerlin for lunch today and they all greet me and know what I want ( I'm there once a week) I started off with a bowl of miso soup and then two Oyster Shooters and then my regular the Big Cajun Roll. I love their ponzu sauce. I use it instead of Soy sauce. Next time I go I should take pictures. Their food is always presented nicely.
I'm also trying to finish my mock cable scarf made out of Misti Alpaca Chunky in Red. Hopefully I can finish it tonight.

Ravelry Secret Pal Exchange and More

I've been really busy and haven't had time to post. Now I'm battling a cold on top of it. But I had to post some new pictures. First is my Ravelry Secret Santa Exchange. I received two skeins of Frog Tree Alpaca in a nice Turquiose, Hot Chocolate, a sampe of Soak and a knitted dishcloth that says NJ on it. Thank you Jersey Knitter! :)

Also here is a picture of my finished Koigu Cowl made out of one skein of Koigu. This pattern really kept me interested. It was knit on size 6 needles. I have another skein in denim blue that I'm ready to cast on another cowl with.

I also finished two Hearth Bowls from Carol Bristol Designs. They are huge felted bowls. I felted them on Thangiving day. I have a front loading washer and they did not felt at all. I brought them over to my Aunt Lil's during Thanksgiving Dinner and felted them there four times but still they didn't felt enough. So I might take them to a laundry and do them there.

Last but not least here is a cute picture of pickle. He takes such cute pictures. He just sits there.

Rushing home from work to hand out candy, I decided this year to take it easy. Instead of me sitting outside as usual every year, Dad sitting outside having fun with the neighbors. He has his fart machine (yes I said fart machine!) and every time a kid comes up the machine goes off. I asked my dad was he seventy six or six! He thought for a moment and said nineteen :). So I'm i the house with my three little monsters who keep on barking at every noise and want to rush to the front door.

This past week and CC picture

This past week went by so quickly, I didn't have a chance to post. I was so busy at work. We are still trying to organize our new office. Between Wednesday and Thursday I closed 48 boxes for storage. And yesterday was quiet I was able to catch up.

As promised here is a picture of my little girl. CC is attached to bagel. We call this picture Cream Cheese on Bagel :)

I Finally Got It!

I finally decided to get Cable modem. I got tired of how slow it was to download! I used to surf and work but couldn't download. Now I can!!! I'm offically addicted. Instead of taking hours to download to my ipod it now takes minutes! I spent this morning downloading podcasts (knitting of course) and doing anything I couldn't do before. I should be studying for my Legal Terminology test tomorrow night ;)
Since the title of my blog is Knitting, Doxes and Vegas. Here are a couple pictures of my kids. Bagel, Pickle and CC (cream cheese)! Yes that's there names! In a later post I'll explain how they got their names.

I'm having a problem uploading a picture of CC so I'll try tomorrow.
